Clinician Team

Registered Nurse Associate – Lucy Bustin

Our nursing team are qualified and registered nurses who offer a wealth of experience and can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.

GP Assistant Clinical: Debbie Graves (Trainee)  – GP Assistants are an integral part of our clinical team and carry out tasks such as: phlebotomy, blood pressure measurement, ECG’s, new patient health checks and medical condition reviews. They may also assist the doctor or act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.

Phlebotomy

All of our Clinical Staff & GP Assistants carry out the process of drawing blood for a variety of testing reasons and the testing of urine samples.

Practice Management involves day to day operational management of the business aspects of the practice and its dispensary ensuring the appropriate systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care. These include: patient safety, finance, human resources, health & safety, information technology  / digital & data, premises and equipment. Practice Management supports the work of GPs and other medical professionals in the delivery of patient services as well as development of extended services to enhance patient care.

PATIENTS GIVEN APPOINTMENTS AT OUR RED HUB IN PENRITH:

During the current COVID-19 outbreak, patients experiencing certain symptoms (breathing issues and / or fever) and who have been telephone assessed by a GP to need a face-to-face examination will be called to our local ‘Red Hub’.
