Flu Jabs & COVID Booster’s

Your Flu and COVID Booster vaccinations will be given together this year from the Practice.  We will be running Saturday clinics from September 18th in cohort order and we will contact you to arrange your appointment in due course.  It would be very helpful if you wait for your appointment with us rather than attending a Pharmacy for a Flu Vaccination in order to receive these 2 vaccinations together.

Cohorts will be as follows:

Stage 1: Adults aged 16 and over who are immunosuppressed – Those living in residential care homes for older adults – Adults aged 70 years or over – Adults aged 16 years and over who are considered clinically extremely vulnerable – Frontline health and social care workers.

Stage 2: All adults 50 years and over – All adults aged 16-49 who are in an influenza or COVID-19 at-risk group as outlined in the ‘Green Book’ – Adult household members of immunosuppressed individuals

Can I take this opportunity to thank you for your patience with us during an extremely busy and challenging time here at Temple Sowerby and every other GP Practice.  Every single member of our team has gone above an beyond in responding to the demands that have been placed on us during the Pandemic. Paula Breen – Practice Manager

Surgery Information

Do not book a GP appointment if you think you might have coronavirus. Instead stay at home and self-isolate avoiding close contact with other members of your household.

Use the 111 coronavirus service to see if you need medical help.
If you do speak to one of our Doctors you must inform them of all symptoms you are experiencing.

During the current COVID-19 outbreak, patients experiencing certain symptoms (breathing issues and / or fever) and who have been telephone assessed by a GP to need a face-to-face examination will be called to our local ‘Red Hub’.

Click here www.northcumbriaccg.nhs.uk/redhubs to find out more about where to go, what it will look and feel like and what to do when you arrive.
There is also a short film and animation to explain why it looks different for children.
